I have been at the club since 2003!

I am most proud of becoming a Lifesaving Instructor, as I love teaching and helping other people to achieve.

​

I like how warm and friendly the club atmosphere is, as all the teachers want the best for their groups, and everyone works hard to support each other.

I have been at the club since 2018.

I am most proud of making a difference to the lives of so many young people in the local area, and achieving so many awards in such a short space of time!

​

Our club is a like a family! Everyone looks after each other, and we all absolutely love what we do! I wouldn't want to spend my Saturday mornings doing anything else.

I have been with the club since I was 8 years old.

 

I am most proud of qualifying as a Lifeguard, a Level 2 Swimming Teacher, and Rookie Lifeguard Instructor.

 

The best part of the club, is having people like me, passing on our knowledge to the next generation of lifeguards and lifesavers.

The lifesaving achievement I am most proud of is simplifying and improving the accuracy of competition results.

​

The best thing about the club is the people. Everyone is friendly, inclusive and are in it for the best of the club.

Rookie Lifeguard Instructor

I have worked my way through the Rookie Lifeguard and Survive and Save Programmes, and I am now an Assistant Lifesaving Instructor.

 

I am very proud of my achievements at the club, and have been able to use my experiences towards my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

​

The best bit about the club is all the support you get, and that you get to skills that can save someone's life.

I have been part of the club for many years, watching from the side as my two children have been members. In 2025 I decided to become an Assistant Instructor.

​

The club is like one big family; however old you are, you can join in, and learn lifesaving skills.

​

It makes me proud to watch everyone working together to help each other achieve their goals, gain awards, and be so proud of their achievements.

I have two children at the club and joined myself as an Assistant Instructor in 2025.

 

I am proud to give something back to the club.

 

My family love to holiday and swim in the pools and the sea, and the best thing about the club is that all members develop new skills that will help to keep them safe when travelling and swimming.

I have been part of the club since 2016.

My greatest achievement is being presented with the Wiltshaw Award, for my inclusive lessons and supporting a disabled member to fully participate in the club activities.

​

The best thing about the club is the friendly environment, and the way we all support each other.

I have been at the club since 2018.

My greatest achievement is coming first in my category, in the annual Club Competition, twice!

​

The best thing about the club is that you can complete a range of different awards, and progress from a Rookie Lifeguard at the age of 7, to an Assistant Instructor at the age of 14, and an Instructor at the age of 16.

I have been at the club since 2019.

​

My greatest achievement was coming first in the speed line throw event at a local competition.

​

The best thing about the club is the people!

Our team is made up of dedicated volunteers, many of whom have been part of the club for a number of years. Our Assistant Teachers, Rookie Instructors, Lifesaving Instructors, and Instructor Tutors have all achieved a variety of RLSS UK Awards between them, including Life Support. All our volunteers are DBS checked.
