Our award-winning Club has been running since 1973! It has over 60 members, ranging from 6 years to over 80!

Our Club members learn water safety and rescue skills to save lives – as well as emergency first aid and CPR. We deliver the Rookie Lifeguard and National Lifesaving Academy programmes. Our lifesavers are also given the opportunity to complete the Assistant Lifesaving Instructor and Young Leader courses once they come to the end of the National Lifesaving Academy programme.

Our Club is affiliated with the Royal Lifesaving Society and became an RLSS UK Aspire Club in March 2023. The Club is part of the Liverpool and District Branch of the Society, and takes part in events and competitions run by the branch.

RLSS UK Aspire Lifesaving Club

Nantwich Neptune Lifesaving Club is affiliated with RLSS UK. We are therefore part of the RLSS UK lifesaving family, allowing us to access a range of support, services, and resources.

Out of the 126 clubs in the UK, five are RLSS UK Aspire Clubs. Nantwich Neptune Lifesaving Club, is one of the special 5! We are extremely proud to have achieved this status, and it recognises that we are firmly established, and committed to:

  • Developing our volunteers

  • Growing our club

  • Engaging with our local community and the wider lifesaving community

  • Being ambitious

  • Continuing to improve and develop

Lifesaving Programmes

Nantwich Neptune Lifesaving Club offer a range of different lifesaving qualifications, taught by our team of volunteer instructors and teaching assistants. To join the club, lifesavers need to be 6 years old or over, and be able to swim 100 metres confidently. The Rookie Lifeguard Programme is a great next step for swimmers who have completed Stage 7 of the ASA Learn to Swim Programme, and want to do more than competitive swimming.
