WILTSHAW AWARD
SPECIAL AWARD WINNER
Ellie
The Wiltshaw Award is given to somebody who has shown vast progress over the past 12 months. This year’s Wiltshaw Award goes to someone who has shown remarkable growth, dedication, and leadership within our club. Ellie has been with us for eight years, completing the entire Rookie Lifeguard scheme and progressing into the National Lifesaving Academy Awards. But what has truly stood out over the past twelve months is the way she has stepped into a new role as an Assistant Instructor, embracing the responsibility with maturity and enthusiasm.
At just 14, Ellie has taken it upon herself to organise the other assistant instructors, setting a wonderful example of teamwork and initiative. She has been outstanding with our younger members, guiding them with patience, encouragement, and the high standards she holds herself to. Watching Ellie flourish into a confident leader and mentor has been inspiring for us all. We couldn’t be prouder of the way she is helping to train the next generation of lifesavers, and it is with great pleasure that we present her with the Wiltshaw Award.
